M.P. Naidu is a distinguished Civil Engineer with over 50 years of leadership experience in planning, design, engineering, project management, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects across India and overseas. His expertise spans Metro Rail Systems, Airports, Highways, Bridges, Industrial Infrastructure, and EPC/PPP projects, with a proven record of successfully delivering complex, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure programs.

He is currently serving as Technical Advisor with SYSTRA, providing strategic and technical leadership for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the 76.4 km Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II expansion.

Previously, as Project Director at AECOM India, he led the General Consultancy team for Pune Metro Line-III, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, technical approvals, project management, and quality certification.

During his decade-long tenure as Project Director & Executive Vice President of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd., he successfully directed the planning, design, construction, commissioning, and delivery of the 69 km Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, one of the world’s largest metro rail projects implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, valued at approximately US$3 billion. He led teams of over 250 engineers while ensuring timely delivery, cost control, safety, quality, and stakeholder coordination. His outstanding contribution was recognized with the “Infrastructure Man of the Year – 2018” award by Construction World.

Earlier, with Larsen & Toubro, he held several senior leadership positions including Project Director, Regional Manager, Business Unit Head, and Project Manager, delivering landmark infrastructure projects such as  Bangalore International Airport works, highways, bridges, industrial plants, and urban infrastructure. He was responsible for business growth, P&L management, project execution, contract administration, and strategic planning.

He began his career with MECON India Ltd., where he served for over two decades on major steel, industrial, defence, and international engineering projects, including a deputation as Project Consultant to the Nigerian Government for the Ajaokuta Steel Plant.

Mr. Naidu holds an M.Tech. in Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering from NIT Warangal and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College (now MANIT), Bhopal. His core strengths include project leadership, metro rail systems, PPP implementation, contract management, engineering design review, risk management, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

He is widely respected for delivering technically challenging infrastructure projects with excellence in engineering, governance, innovation, quality, and timely execution.
